Demilune Pendant – 9K White Gold, LAB GROWN White Diamond

Recycled white gold and LAB GROWN white diamond pendant, ethical jewellery handmade in Sydney.

This pendant has been handcrafted with recycled white gold and contains approx. 0.10ct total of lab grown white diamonds.

We do not rhodium plate our white gold jewellery. Rhodium plating gives the piece a very white, bright and silver look to the jewellery, but we prefer the grey tones that white gold naturally has.

In an effort to reduce unnecessary manufacturing, you have the option to order the Demilune pendant with or without a white gold chain. These pendants are designed to easily slip on and off most chains, so if you have your own at home we encourage you to reuse one for this pendant. If you’d like a white gold chain to go with this pendant, then select the ‘Yes please’ option when purchasing. The necklace chain length is 18″. Chains are prefabricated & white rhodium plated. If you would like to include a rhodium finish on your pendant (for an additional fee), please contact us.

Solid gold jewellery is generally hallmarked with a karat stamp. Gold jewellery is not pure gold. Because pure gold is too soft to be worn everyday, it is essential to create a metal mixture when using gold for jewellery. Gold is an alloy composition made of gold and durable metals like zinc, nickel, silver and copper, and white gold usually has a rhodium plating. This sturdy blend is resistant to corrosion, rust and tarnish.

Handcrafted in our Sydney Studio on Dharawal Country, from recycled gold and responsibly sourced gemstones, the metal used in this necklace is melted down and hand poured into a mould so that the stones are cast into place, not set. This process of sand casting, or Delft clay casting results in one-of-a-kind fine jewellery pieces. Due to the nature of this process, the stone colour, placement, texture and finish of each piece will be unique. That’s the beauty of buying made to order, handmade jewellery!
