Basile Island Pendant with South Sea Pearl – 9ct Yellow Gold

Basile Island, a small gem within the Abrolhos Islands, is steeped in the rich history of Australian crayfishing. Today, it serves as the home base for Pia Boschetti, the founder of Latitude Jewellers, affectionately known as “the girl who grows the pearl.” Pia resides here while tending to her pearl farm. Basile Island is vibrant with colourful camps and even has a church where islanders gather for special occasions. The cherished tradition of coffee at 3pm continues to this day. Tour flights frequently pass over the island, drawn by the picturesque collection of colourful camps, or shacks, as the locals call them.

Creating a pendant based on this Island was a must for our Island Bound Collection. This artistic pendant is perfectly complimented with a home-grown Pearl from the Abrolhos Islands and four delicately set Diamonds for an elevated look.

Cultured sustainably in the pristine waters off the northwest coast of Australia, these pearls are the treasures of the Pinctada maxima oyster.

Chains are sold separately. If a chain isn’t purchased pendants will come with a temporary chain for presentation in the box however it is not suitable for long-term wear.

Due to the unique nature of our Keshi and Baroque Pearls, each pearl may vary in colour and size. Each Pearl is hand picked by Founder and Pearl Farmer, Pia Boschetti, to deliver a true unique piece of jewellery.

For over a decade, we have made dedicated efforts to responsibly source the precious materials we use in our jewellery. Our Latitude Abrolhos Islands pearls are grown at our own pearl farm under stri carat sustainability guidelines, so pearl farming can continue for generations to come.

Shipping

FREE Express Shipping on all orders over $400 within Australia. All parcels are fully unsured, require signature on delivery, and are discreetly packaged for peace of mind. Orders under $400 - $30 Express Post shipping.  Orders are dispatched Monday – Friday and typically delivered within 2-5 business days. Rural or remote areas may take up to 14 business day. If your piece is not in stock, we will arrange/custom make this piece within 2-4 weeks. Delivery will be 2-14 days once your piece is ready.  Please note: We do not deliver to PO Boxes.  You will receive a tracking email once your order is shipped.

Returns

We want you to love your jewellery. If you are not fully satisfied, we offer credit notes for change of mind within 30 days of receipt of the item. Please notify us within 7 days of delivery that you wish to return an item. Items eligible for return should be returned in their original condition, it its original packaging and with all paperwork (tags, box and pouch included).  Items will not be eligible for return if: The item is damaged; The item has been worn; The item has been modified in anyway; The item is a SALE item. Please note: Refunds are only available for purchases if the item was misrepresented or faulty. Refunds will be processed to your original form of payment once the item is received and inspected. We do not offer exchanges as items may sell out whilst the requested exchange is being processed.
