These beautifully delicate ‘Fagus’ necklaces are available in silver or gold.

The Nothofagus Gunnii - the tanglefoot- or deciduous beech, or fagus, is a deciduous shrub endemic to the highlands of Tasmania, Australia. It was discovered in 1847 by R.C Gunn and evidence exists that it once lived in Antarctica.

Emily Snadden is an award-winning jeweller based in Tasmania, where each piece is jeweller made using traditional gold and silversmithing techniques. Our Tasmanian-inspired collections honour iconic native flora – from Nothofagus gunnii and Leatherwood to Eucalyptus – translated into finely detailed forms. Handcrafted in precious metals and often set with native Australian gemstones, Emily’s work balances botanical realism with wearable design, celebrating place, season and craft.
